Tain II Landscape Restoration Programme
In collaboration with Form International, Form Ghana is currently implementing the Forest Landscape Restoration Programme for Forest Reserve Tain II. This programme promotes the restoration of natural forests and increased productivity of agricultural land in order to improve the livelihood of the communities surrounding the Tain II Forest Reserve.
Land use planning is to become more effective by installation of a landscape governance board that brings together key stakeholders such as the Forestry Commission, the traditional authorities, municipal assemblies, combined with farmer representatives.
By organizing and supporting farmers on establishment of agroforestry production systems and marketing the produce a significant income for farmers is generated. In the end, this must result in a productive buffer zone around the Forest Reserve.
